On 22 July, 2003 President IAEFL Kim A. Komarov had a meeting with Governor of Kaluga region Anatoly D. Artamonov. There were Mayor of town of Kaluga Valery V. Ivanov and leaders of departments of Government of Kaluga region at the meeting. The questions of cooperation between the IAEFL and Administration of Kaluga region in the field of attracting of investments, setting up and widening business contacts with European countries by using regional structures and business relations of the IAEFL were discussed.

Governor A.Artamonov showed an interest in attracting through structures of the IAEFL in Switzerland highly qualified specialists for work at the various plants and firms of region. In 2004 it is planning the holding of the measure dedicated to 1000-anniversary of Binningen – twin town of Kaluga. The understanding on signing the agreement about cooperation of Administration of Kaluga region with the International Academy of Economics, Finance and Law (IAEFL) in the field of international economic and legal relationships were arrived at.

On 24-27 July, 2003 the international seminar “New investment possibilities in Russia and Arkhangelsk region” took place in Arkhangelsk. The seminar was as a second part of the presentation of Arkhangelsk region in Switzerland which was organized by the IAEFL jointly with Administration of Arkhangelsk region with participation Ministry of Trade and Economic Development of Russia, Embassies and Trade representatives of Russia in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Swiss Organisation for Facilitating Investments (SOFI) and other partners of the IAEFL in European countries. At the second part of the presentation in Arkhangelsk representatives business circles of Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Israel, Finland, Italy, Austria and Sweden. The leaders of Norwegian State Fund of development of Economics were discussing possibilities of attracting Norwegian money to exploiting of Mezenj synclise and deposit of bauxites. Director of German concern “Helling GMBh” Nathanael Riess was interested in delivery of equipment to fish-factory “Belomorie” and promised and assistance in attracting cheap German credits for modernization of the factory. Austrian concern “InfraMen” intended to create in Arkhangelsk model joint agency on attracting foreign investments in the sphere of housing-communal economy of the region. Leaders of Norwegian State Fund of Development of Economics and representative of Italian concern “Merloni” visited toSeverodvinsk deposit of iodine waters and discussed questions of delivery for extraction and technological line for bottling of mineral water as well for investing in exploiting of the deposit. Israeli corporation "Akhunov group” and “Engel group” intended to invest in modernization and reconstruction of Arkhangelsk airport and terminal “Economia” of Arkhangelsk sea trade port as well to build large refrigerator in the port. Czech delegation expressed a desire to take part in delivery trolley-busses and lighting equipment for airport “Arkhangelsk”. Governor of Arkhangelsk region A.Efremov proposed to Czech part to create regular air line Arkhangelsk- Karlovi Vari with participation air company “AVL” (Arkhangelsk airlines).

Apart from representatives of business Ambassador of Switzerland Mr Walter Fetcherin, Director of Swiss Center of business in Moscow Mr Toni More, General Consul of Czech Republic Antonin Murgash and Director of S.-Petersburg representation of State agency   on promotion of Czech business and industry Mr Ieleck took part at the event. The participants of the presentation  had an excursion on the Solovetsky Islands.

The International Academy of Economics, Finance and Law through its regional structures abroad and Pomor center of the IAEFL in Arkhangelsk will continue on attracting of investors in Arkhangelsk region.

 

 

 

On 30 July, 2003 President of the IAEFL K.Komarov has paid a visit to Ambassador of Swiss Confederacy in Moscow Mr Walter Fetcherin. Director of Center of Swiss entrepreneurs in Moscow Mr More was presented at the meeting. The participants of the meeting had discussed questions of participation of representatives of Swiss Embassy in Moscow in measures holding by the IAEFL in Russian and European countries in 2003-2004. In particular the holding in Veliky Novgorod in 2004 the international conference with participation of representatives of business and financial circles of Switzerland and Novgorod region.

President Komarov had discussed with Ambassador W.Fetcherin the  question of possibility of his electing by the Fill member (academician) of the IAEFL. President of the IAEFL Komarov on bahalf of the Presidium of the IAEFL handed to Mr Ambassador congratulation on the occasion of the State holiday of Switzerland – 1 August – the Fay of Swiss Confederacy.

On 12 August, 2003  President has accepted Deputy minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Cooperation of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr P.Urazaev. The meeting was organized according to request of Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Cooperation Kh. Khalilov. The participants have discussed the questions bounded with preparation of international meeting-presentation of representatives of business and financial circles of the Republic of Tatarstan and countries of Western Europe which is proposed to be held in Switzerland in 2004. At the meeting a number of other questions of cooperation of the IAEFL with the Republic of Tatarstan was touched as well.
